We help people fly their drones in amazing places, and capture amazing images. Central London is Bucket List for every drone pilot. The Winning Image in the National Drone Photography Awards, featured here, is of Tower Bridge at night. What an image. But how to fly there, safely and legally?
On this epic day, we’ll take you on a Bucket List Tour of London. Where you can fly. The permissions you need, that we have obtained. And things you must not do (fly over Buckingham Palace for example).
You will capture extraordinary images and video clips, in places you would most probably not feel comfortable flying on your own.

Exertion: High. We’ll be jumping around London on the Tube, and walking from there, to get the best shots, depending on the weather and the light, all day.
Weather: In the event the forecast is bad, we will contact you to arrange another suitable date for your In a Day experience, or send you a full refund. Right up to the end of 2020, when people asked us “Can I fly a drone in Central London” our answer was….No. The rules were unclear, and it just felt too risky. Happily, the new Drone Regulations that came into force on 1 January 2021, mean our answer is now “yes it can be done and here is how”.
We have the right drone: the DJI Mini 2 – if you don’t have one you can fly one of ours
We sort out all the necessary permissions: from London Airport ATC, and from Battersea Heliport ATC
We’ll check with you that you have your Flyer and Operator ID, and help sort this if you don’t
We’ll explain the various permanent No Fly Zones that are in place around London
We’ll put together a full Flight Plan for the day, and file it with the CAA
And we’ll make sure you have a fresh Micro SD card in the drone, ready to capture life-highlight images and video clips.
We’ll meet at Tower Bridge Tube Station at your preferred start time. Catch the dawn, catch the dusk, or fly through the middle of the day. It is entirely your choice. Bring your own Mini 2, or fly one of ours. Depending on the light, and the weather, once we have shot Tower Bridge, the Tower of London, and the Shard, we’ll head either West or East to capture more iconic images. This will be a high-adrenaline, high action day, that will ensure you capture amazing images and video clips.
