Edinburgh is a spectacular city from the ground. Shooting with a drone adds a whole new perspective. You can capture the Castle, the Royal Mile, The National Monument of Scotland, the Sea, and Arthur’s Seat. We have all seen 1,000 images of the Castle from the foot of the battlements. Very few people have ever been able to shoot it from above.
With a deep understanding of the Drone Regulations, and exceptionally detailed planning, we are excited to announce the launch of our Iconic Edinburgh in-a-day Drone Event. Our Iconic London in-a-day Drone Event, running since April 2022, has been a huge success. Alongside London, is there a more iconic City in the UK than Edinburgh?
One of the keys to the kingdom is to fly drones weighing less than 250gms, as the new regulations permit flying a drone weighing this little pretty much anywhere, except in No Fly Zones, or where the flight might pose a risk to people or property. Happily, the DJI Mini 1, Mini 2, and Mini 3 Pro drones all weigh less than 250gms. If you have one of your own, great. If not, we bring two DJI Mini 2s and a Mini 3 Pro to every Iconic Edinburgh in-a-day Drone Event. All you will need is a Micro SD card, ready to capture life-highlight images and video clips.
We’ll gather at Calton Hill at 10am before moving on to fly from Princess Street Gardens. We’ll be shooting through until 4pm. This will be a high-adrenaline, high action day, that will enable you to take wow-memorable-images left, right and centre. Good news – exercise level is light. All walking is on the flat, over distances of a few 100 metres. Seating will be provided at each location.
