Aragon, one of the least known regions of Spain, is a land of dramatic landscapes, medieval villages and monumental mountains. We will point you towards hidden treasures; you’ll experience flying your drone over amazing scenery, and you’ll taste incredible and unique cuisine.

The tour starts and finishes in Barcelona, a vibrant cosmopolitan city, before heading towards the Somontano region in the province of Huesca. This is one of the most beautiful wine regions in the whole of Spain, stretching from the foothills of the Pyrenees to the Ebro Valley. The tour continues into the Pyrenees, this dreamy area is home to preserved medieval villages, romantic Roman castles, and a unique landscape. Finally, we visit the city of Zaragoza. This graceful city houses a formidable collection of Roman ruins, as well as stylish shops on wide, tree-lined avenues. It’s a city that combines old and new, where chic galleries mingle with Moorish mansions and, of course, the incredible Aljafería palace.
The Spanish Pyrenees Masterclass gives you the opportunity to fly and film some of the most spectacular mountainous countryside, along with visits to vineyards and the cultural city of Zaragoza. You can have the pleasure of enjoying delicious and healthy Spanish cuisine paired with exquisite wines all in the company of fellow drone enthusiasts and our expert local guides. It truly makes for an incredible trip.
Itinerary
- Day 1
After arrival at Barcelona airport, take a transfer to the hotel to check-in. During the afternoon we will have plenty of time to explore the city, visiting famous landmarks, as well as soaking up the Mediterranean atmosphere where visitors mingle with residents. - Day 2
We leave Barcelona to head up into the Pyrenees. With a stop at a prestigious winery in the Somontano region, with guided tour, wine tasting and a 5course tasting menu included. Afterwards we continue the journey to arrive at our base camp in Siresa, a small village hidden in the Pyrenees. - Day 3
A morning flying with panoramic views of the Pyrenees around the village of Siresa. We will have time to brush up on our flying and aerial photography skills as well as learn new techniques. In the afternoon, off to another location flying over an abandoned monastery. Each evening there will be time to review the days footage before dinner at the hotel. - Day 4
After breakfast, a short drive to fly and photograph over a beautiful riverbed and Romanesque bridge. In the afternoon, we can practice frame composition with forest curve roads, and a post-production session of Lightroom & iMovie using images taken earlier in the day under the expert tuition of professional photographer Chavez Hernandez. - Day 5
We leave our base camp in the Pyrenees to head for Zaragoza. On route we will stop to visit and fly at two iconic locations, the amazing rock formations, Mallos de Riglos, and after lunch head to capture the Loarre Castle, a superbly preserved fortress near the city of Huesca. The evening will be a Tapas Tour in Zaragoza. - Day 6
n the morning, a visit to fly at the vineyards in the Cariñena region. After returning to Zaragoza, in the afternoon, for those who are interested there will be a guided tour or free time to discover the city of Zaragoza. This graceful city houses a formidable collection of Roman ruins, as well as stylish shops on wide, tree-lined avenues. It’s a city that combines old and new, where chic galleries mingle with Moorish mansions and, of course, the incredible Aljafería palace. Dinner is at a typical Aragonese restaurant in Zaragoza. - Day 7
After checking out of the hotel in Zaragoza we return to Barcelona airport for your return journey home to the UK. Or, if you’d like to continue your exploration of Spain, we’ll be happy to give advice for ongoing travel.
