Residential total immersion flying experiences

in sunny Andalucia, Spain

Following two sell-out trips to Villa Periana in May 2017, we are returning to this beautiful 5* villa, in the hills about an hour inland from Malaga, for our Autumn 2017 Spanish drone flying holidays.  We have expanded the programme to four trips in 2017.  The firs trip in May, and the first trip in September, are aimed at people who are relatively new to drone flying.  The second trip in May, and the trip in October, are for more experienced drone pilots.

Our remaining 2017 holiday dates:

27 Sept – 02 Oct ‘17  3 places remaining

02 – 08 October ‘17   3 places remaining

The price for the first, five night, trip is £1,299

The price for the second, six night trip, is £1,449

Both include: flying with fellow drone enthusiasts in some incredible flying locations; expert flying support from Alan and Steve; return transfers from Malaga Airport to the Villa; single-occupancy en-suite accommodation; full board, including five meals at carefully selected restaurants; all transport during the trip; and daily master classes from Alan and Steve.

The trips are co-hosted by Alan Proto, PhantomFlightSchool Chief Pilot, and well-known British photographer Steve Lowery.  Steve has been bringing clients to the villa for several years for photography holidays, knows the area well, speaks fluent Spanish, and is a keen drone pilot himself.  We have a minibus and driver to get from flying site to flying site.

Set high on a hillside outside the village of Periana, our base is the 5* Villa Periana, with six en-suite bedrooms for guests, spacious grounds, a shady terrace, a swimming pool, good wi-fi and beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.

Each morning and afternoon we will visit an outstanding area of natural beauty, in order to fly our drones. All have been carefully selected by Alan and Steve.

Some previous drone flying experience will be helpful, but not essential. Equally, there is plenty here to excite and interest the expert drone pilot. There is time at the villa between visits to flying sites to practice your flying and hone your skills.

During our 2016 trips, over the course a trip we flew a total of more than 100 batteries between us. Planning flights together, acting as observers for each other, learning to use Intelligent Flight Mode, figuring out which camera settings worked best. The learning curve for everyone was a steep and fulfilling one.
