Fly Like a Pro, Film Like a Pro
There is always more to learn. We learn more about drones and the possibilities they open up every day. We want to share that knowledge, and one great way for you to access it is by joining one of our Workshops. Taking place over a weekend once a month, come for half a day, a full day, or even the full weekend.
We have poured everything we know into each of the four modules, so whatever your current level of knowledge, we are confident you will come away having learned things that will make a difference to you.
(1) Legislation, and Mission Planning / Case Studies
We find that even PfCO qualified drone pilots are still occasionally confused by the legislation. We have taken the time and trouble to really understand the rules. We have excellent connections at the CAA, and we have used these to pick the brains of the people that wrote the law. You will come away confident that you can fly in many more places than you first thought.
(2) Considering going Commercial, and Surveying & Drone Deploy
Many of us recognise that drones are going to be “the next big thing”. We firmly believe there will be drone-deliveries, drone-taxis, drone search & rescue etc. And sooner than you think. But how to make a commercial success out of using a drone? Well there are plenty of pitfalls along the way to catch the unwary. Here, we debunk some of the myths about commercial drone flying, and explain clearly what opportunities exist, and which ones maybe don’t.
(3) Storyboarding & Shotlists, and getting the most out of Intelligent Flight Mode
We find that many aspiring drone pilots imagine that being a successful drone pilot must be about being a racing-drone fighter-pilot flying ace. In fact, how you fly is much less important than how you film. In this module, we explain the golden rules you should be thinking about when you are flying and filming, in order to make sure that when it comes to the edit, you’ve got the material you need to make an amazing movie.
(4) Photo editing with Photoshop, and Video Editing with iMovie
It is easy to get stuck at this stage. You know you’ve got fantastic material, captured during some amazing flights in incredible places. But how to turn that into a movie people will actually want to watch? In this module, we show you how.
