All you want in a “4” and a little bit more…..
About every 18 months, DJI gathers together a bunch of technology which, until a few moments earlier, would have cost you £3,000+. Then they stick a DJI badge on the front, and offer it for sale for around £1,500. They did it with the Inspire 1, and again with the Phantom 3. The Phantom 4 released last year was more iteration than revolution. The Phantom 4 Pro is another revolution.
Talking about a revolution….well…..yeah. We all want to change the World
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Right? And the Phantom 4 certainly isn’t broken. But, it did have shortcomings in one department. Yes, it could shoot video in 4K. Yes, it had a 12.3Mp stills camera. But with only 7.5 stops of dynamic range, and an electronic shutter, images and video could easily look flat, and video suffered from jello or rolling shutter.
The Phantom 4 Pro is another game-changer. The drone, and it’s flying characteristics, were already close to perfect. Now the camera has taken a leap forwards to match. Once again DJI has taken £3,000 worth of kit, and are making it yours for barely more than £1,500.
